Spring

In spring, Arles and its surrounding nature gradually awaken after winter, under a sun that reshapes the landscape.

From February onwards, pink flamingos animate the Camargue with their courtship displays, a striking spectacle in the heart of vast, untamed landscapes.

Easter marks the beginning of the festive season. The city regains its distinctive vibrancy, blending local traditions with the first highlights of the cultural calendar. With the Festival du Dessin, Arles unfolds through lines and sketches: intimate, free, and sometimes experimental.

Summer

LUMA Arles presents a rich and diverse program: exhibitions, talks, performances, fairs, and concerts extend and enrich this artistic effervescence.

Les Rencontres d’Arles transform the city into a constellation of exhibitions, taking over churches, industrial sites, and historic buildings.

At sunset, world music resonates with Les Suds, through concerts at the ancient theatre and across venues throughout the city.

The whole world converges in Arles.

Fall

The city reveals itself in a different way: stroll through the market, enjoy a coffee on a terrace, and admire the beauty of ancient monuments outlined in the fall light.

It is also the season to enjoy one last swim along the beaches of the Camargue, when the Mediterranean still holds the warmth of summer.

Arles reveals itself under the soft light that so inspired Van Gogh.

Winter

The city welcomes you in a more intimate atmosphere. The streets grow quieter, and time seems to slow down. It is the perfect moment to discover the city's monuments, museums, and best spots in a peaceful, unhurried way.
